Summary

Creepy ending! When will they ever learn?!

predictable halfway through the book, was going to give 1。5 stars but the last chapter was just a little bit of a surprise so 2 stars works。 follows the same format/outline of the first book。

Great way to keep old characters and bring in new ones。 Great twists。 Wish there was a bit more in terms of figuring out in the who dun it situation。 Simon was easy to guess in the last one, and this one felt sort of out of left field。 Still worked, though。

My third Karen McManus book in a row, and I think this was my favorite of them all。 Loved the characters, the extremely fast paced plot and the suspense!

Not quite as tense as the first, but still a great read。 I found this one a little more predictable, in that I had figured out at least half of the mystery like 60% of the way through the book, but it was still interesting。 For me there was more focus on relationships in this book and the theme was not quite as strong, but I liked most of the characters (Phoebe and Maeve quite a bit) and it was definitely a quick read。 I'd say if you enjoyed the first book, you might as well give this one a shot Not quite as tense as the first, but still a great read。 I found this one a little more predictable, in that I had figured out at least half of the mystery like 60% of the way through the book, but it was still interesting。 For me there was more focus on relationships in this book and the theme was not quite as strong, but I liked most of the characters (Phoebe and Maeve quite a bit) and it was definitely a quick read。 I'd say if you enjoyed the first book, you might as well give this one a shot。 。。。more

One of us is next is the sequel to one of us is lying。 It is from the point of views of three students, Knox, Phoebe and Maeve who is Bronwyn's younger sister。 It continues the story of Bayview as there is a new game 'Truth or Dare'。 There are small cameos of the the original Bayview Four but the story is mainly center around Knox, Phoebe and Maeve。 If you were looking for a continuation of One of us is lying then I think that you would enjoy this one。 There are similar elements of the first nov One of us is next is the sequel to one of us is lying。 It is from the point of views of three students, Knox, Phoebe and Maeve who is Bronwyn's younger sister。 It continues the story of Bayview as there is a new game 'Truth or Dare'。 There are small cameos of the the original Bayview Four but the story is mainly center around Knox, Phoebe and Maeve。 If you were looking for a continuation of One of us is lying then I think that you would enjoy this one。 There are similar elements of the first novel in the story but overall it is original and enjoyable。 I gave this one 3 stars just because I found that I personally liked the first novel better。 。。。more

I enjoyed this sequel although I think it was not as good as “one of us is lying”。 It left a little something to be desired throughout the story but still had a surprise ending。 I thoroughly enjoy the different narrators in this story also and think it is a good one to listen to on audio。

I get nervous about sequels when the first one was so good, but this book was also just as fascinating and intriguing as the first。 I couldn’t put it down! I love books when the plot all comes together at the very end。

Another masterpiece! Although the idea is less interesting this time, the book is much more well written; the mysteries are actually mysterious instead of the author being like “。。。。oooh mystery!! ;)”。 I thought McManus made a really brave decision to not have one of the main characters be explicitly super hot, but later on multiple characters say he would be hot if he had longer hair so ¯\_(ツ)_/¯。 5 stars because if there’s anything today’s youth should be learning it’s that it’s what’s on the Another masterpiece! 。。。more

This book is an amazing ride filled with a decent amount of twists and turns。 I was excited to read again about the characters I had come to love in the first book with some new stars that were just as exciting。 It’s a must read if you enjoyed the first book!

2。5。 I really liked the first book and rated it 4。 But this one just didn’t grab me like that one did。 I would often forget which character’s point of view I was reading because none of their personalities really stood out。 I also found it a bit draggy and it didn’t keep my interest。 It was a decent read but a bit more far fetched in storyline and too many side stories and characters muddying things up。
